In this world, life will cause troubles and many times those troubles can become too much to manage alone.  As a clinical mental health Christian counselor, I enjoy serving those who have been overwhelmed with life, by meeting them where they are emotionally and sharing in their journey by implementing appropriate therapies per individual need. My clients and I tend to work together toward developing skills, processing deep emotions, gaining perspective, creating healthy habits, building safe connections, etc. to assist them in becoming versions of themselves they actually want to see.  Respecting and caring for clients right where they are, allows the beautiful opportunity to empower them to go far.

I have been practicing in the counseling field since 2018, holding a Bachelors in psychology and a Masters in Counseling from Colorado Christian University.  I am also licensed by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling as a Licensed Professional Counselor.  Utilizing evidenced-based practices and biblical insight is at the central focus of the work I do.  Some of the approaches I use often would be:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma Informed Therapy
  • Person Centered Therapy
  • Emotion Focused Therapy
  • Systems Theory

I serve adults, adolescents, and children over the age 6 in individual, couples, and/or family contexts.  My specialties are in the areas of trauma, complexed trauma, postpartum mental health, depression,  grief, stressful life transition, interpersonal relationship conflicts, etc.

As I practice in this capacity, I am often reminded of Paul in the scriptures.  He gives a snapshot of how I hope to help in my everyday practice when he writes, “…I have become all things to all people, so that I may by every possible means save some.” (1 Corinthians 9:22). I am honored to journey with all those that come.
